125TH ANNIVERSARY RCD ESPANYOL SHIRT

El RCD Espanyol de Barcelona presents the commemorative shirt for its 125th anniversary.

The first colors of Espanyol were yellow and black. According to Ángel Rodríguez himself, "one of our members was a fabric manufacturer and gave us pieces of yellow cloth to make the kits". La Veu de Catalunya, in its edition of November 26, 1900, elaborated further on the “canary” outfit: "wore a yellow and black uniform, completed with a cap". The club’s first known photograph was taken at the end of that year, in front of the emerging Sagrada Família.

125 years later, we pay tribute to these early pioneers with this commemorative shirt, featuring yellow and black as the primary colors, just as they appeared in the first 1900 kit. Among the shirt’s retro-style details, you can see the four-leaf clover pattern inspired by that first Los Deportes article in Art Nouveau style, as well as the full founding article, featured on the chest area.
